Do you guys have them? Are they better then the other. We are in the process of obtaining a phone line for our new home. Tried visiting their site and its completeley down. Just would like some feedback from their customers. Thanks!

I'm not sure what plan is the cheapest with verizon. We sorta get a deal b/c he works for the company. Like I said we only have local service, call waiting and caller ID. No long distance. We have that America's Choice plan from verizon wireless so we have free long distance on our cell phones.
My brother in law is getting DSL from Verizon so we see how thatis. He use to have road runner and he said it costs too much and was slower than expected.

I highly recommend Verizon. The service is good and price. If you make a lot of long distance calls I would suggest you get the Verizon Freedom package. You get UNLIMITED local and long distance calls. Can't beat that.

Run far, far away from Verizon! They are evil, evil people over there. We've had nothing but problems with them. We had to sign up for Verizon because like Michele says they own the lines and takes about 2 seconds for them to switch you on. Once you're turned on you can switch to any other company you want. They would tell us a technician would be coming, and he would never show. You have no idea how many angry cell phone calls there have been. Not to mention the fact that we were paying double with Verizon than we do now for their very basic plan.
We use AT&T and are extremely happy. Not only are we saving about $40/month, but we've had family members switch from Verizon to AT&T who are also saving anywhere from $40-75/month. We use a calling card for any LD calls that we make since we hardly ever make a LD call.
