OK, so as some of you know, my RH only allows you to use the florist that they want you to use. SUPPOSEDLY. Because my DOC did some detective work and apparently, another bride that is getting married there is using Flowers by Brian ( which is not 1 of the 2 that the RH allows) for their wedding. Flowers by Brian was the one I wanted to use in the first place!!!!!! So now that I am heated and very annoyed and pissy, I have decided with my DOC to meet with Flowers by brian, get my quote and go to the RH and let my daddy and FH deal with them b.c its really not fair! If i have to sign papers I'll even do that! But why would they do that???!!! Its entirely messed up and nerve wrecking!

florist is what im most nervous about booking!!! i cant imagine wanting one, thinking ur not allowed, then finding out u can!!!!!!

I can't understand how they can only 'allow' house vendors. I understand charging a little more for outside vendors, but to not allow them???? That's weird.

thats crap... u should be able to use whoever you want. Any if there rul is you have two choices then that shuold go for everyone. You should fight that!!

i have noticed that many RH's prefer you to use 'house vendors' because they have worked with them in the past. they know how they are when it comes to being on time to set up & etc.

Its just stupid!!! And not fair. OHHHHHHHHHHH thats it! I'm doing what I want. Just b/c they get KICKBACKS does not mean that I want to contribute to that. Call me crazy, but if I am paying for this wedding, than shouldn't I call the shots not the RH? Its not like they are not shopping anymore for shoes and not going out and not eating lunch out and not socializing because they have to pay for a wedding. Wait till I tell my Daddy about this!!!!! I swear FH and Daddy are going to have to deal with this b/c if I do, its going to be ugly!!!! I'm not a bridezilla, but this is my money, and I'm wasting on a florsit that is overpriced, nontheless one that I know nothing about....

Maybe I'm outta the loop here but I have never heard of a RH denying any vendors at all. I know if you use house vendors their meals are usualy included or you get a price break but I never heard of somewhere only allowing theeir own. That's bull!! I would be mad too definatly call them out on it!!! Good luck let us know how it goes!!

i've met with flowers by brian and the lady was very helpful and really sweet! i hope you will be able to use it! i really think you should! and the surf club is simply a beautiful place it was one of the places fh and i visited!

You know what they did to us??? They handed us a folder with vendors in it, and than told us that we HAVE to use one of the florist in the folder. Of course they are extremely expensive. Flowers by Brian was on Regis and kelly. I think they can make the room look amazing just as well as those overpriced one, if not better. And not to mention, I heard the only reason why any hall does that is for the sheer fact for Kickbacks. UGH. So annoying. I am so mad that its hurting my stomach!!!!!

Thats one of the main reasons i didn't book Glenn Island. We HAD to use one of their florists. Diana Gould or Arcadia. I checked out Arcadia and there prices were reasonable but i heard DG is way overpriced.
My mom even told hte guy that a family friend was doing our flowers as a gift to us and he still said no.
Oh, we went to flowers by brian to check out prices too and the woman said that technically halls aren't allowed to do that and she has worked at the surf club and glenn island in the past.

I guess they just say that to say it?? who knows but you better get your way they should not force you to use their vendor. We have a house florist too that the recommend but they are not telling us we have to use them.

All they mentioned was the florist. But now that won't happen b/c of the stunt they just pulled.
