My wedding is June 6, 2010 and I have nothing yet. I feel really behind and I don't know how to get started. Which vendors should I focus on first? Does anyone have any recommendations for any really great vendors that aren't too expensive (anything really...photography...florist...baker...invitations...PLANNERS!!!) Please help!!

i assume you have a RH booked, since you have a date?! We thought the photographer was the most important thing, then DJ and Limo's. If you want FM your budget for those things and I will tell you what we got/did and other quotes!

First of all, take a step back and breathe. You're not far behind. People have put weddings together in MUCH less time than you have now.
That being said, focus on what is most important to you. If you don't care about how you get to the RH as long as you make it there, then do limos last. I'd look into photographers and a dress first and foremost. We're using Duet and I got my dress from Paradise Bridal. Start looking girl! Good luck!!

don't worry you still have time. I would say the most important thing is the RH and you seem to have that already, so i would next focus on a church or if you are getting married at the RH, an officiant. Next i would book a photographer/videographer and then a DJ since they tend to book up fast (well the more popular ones do at least). For photography/video i am using Thomas Paul and for DJ i am using FM Enterainment, both i found reasonably priced for what you get.

start with rh/church then move to video/photo and then i would go with dj/band

You're fine. You've got your RH, which is the biggest thing. Are you getting married there or at a church/temple? If you're getting married off-site, then you should look into booking that.
I'm getting married two weeks after you and have only my RH (getting married there) and my gown so far. Only just started photog appointments recently.
You'll be fine, just start doing a lot of research so you can narrow it down to who you want to meet with in terms of photog/video/florists, etc.

Lady first off, take a breath...you are fine!!! You have plenty of time and you got the biggest thing done your hall! That's huge! :) For flowers I am using Flower Michele and think they are great photography i'm using J o s e p h Lin and think he's great....look around you will find vendors you love :) good luck

I´m about to make you feel much better - I am getting married slightly over 2 months before you and only have my RH and officant!! It can DEFINITELY be done!! (or at least I hope so!! )
Personally I started researching on line and over the phone first (alhtough I am overseas so this is all i could really do anyway!! ) and narrowed it down to my favorite vendors based mostly on price (i´m on a super tight budget) and also by the vibe I got on the phone and their websites. I am going to be contacting them to set up appointments while I¨m in NY to finalize everything. If all goes well, by December 2nd I will have all major vendors booked!! As well as every single detail of my weddng, inluding stamping the invites!! (This is my only trip before the wedding!!)
If you need anything you can FM me. IF price is a major concern for your vendors you can do a search for Official Tight Budget and there are threads for DJ, photo/video, officiant and Hair/maekup.
P.S. - You picked a great day for your wedding!! (June 6th is my birthday!!)

You still have time. Although I would suggest hiring a DJ/Band and also photo/video as soon as you can.
I can suggest DJs.... FM Entertainment is who we booked with. Many ladies on here also book with Tommy Tunes and Phil from After Hours. These three are reasonable and around the same price range. Photo: Try Duet...their work is excellent..True Love photography/video is who we booked with.
Florist: Highly recommend checking out Flowers & Designes by Gina: Gina
She is one of our fave vendors..
Limos: Definitely Camelot.
Officiant...if you need one....Pastor April is amazing.

I agree with everyone else you have the biggest out of the way! Now def look into the ceremony, church etc. Then I would look into Band/Dj Then photo/video These two book out fast with vendors esp in June, Then flowers, limo etc
Vendors we booked: Band: Times Square Orchestra Photo/Video: Duet (my friend used them this past April I got to see the sample of her album AWESOME!!!!) Limo: Def Camelot.... Last 2 weddings I was in used them and they were GREAT! Hope this helps you! and Relax there is still more then enough time!!!!
