Very sad.

Sorry I haven't been around, but FH I & had a very very tragic death this past week. On Thanksgiving night, our very dear friend passed away. He was to be one of our GM, and he died of pneumonia, complicated by chemotherapy & lung cancer. We spent the last week in the hospital every night & had the burial last night.

It has been very hard to think about our wedding in 5 weeks, knowing that he will not physically be there.

I just want to warn you all.....Gary was misdiagnosed with only pneumonia for 5 months before the doctors realized he had cancer. IF they had properly diagnosed him, he would have had a good chance of recovering 100%. Please take your own precautions & have thorough testing whenever you might be ill.

FH & I are sad, but we realize that he will be with us in spirit, and had already blessed us by accepting to be part of our day.

Oh my goodness. That is horrible. I'm sorry for your loss. I'm glad you had a chance to ask him and have him accept the offer before this tragedy occurred.

OMG....I am so sorry for your loss....you two must be devastated....
Misdiagnosis can be frustrating.....There is some comfort in that your friend is not suffering any longer..... I'm so sorry for your huge loss....best of luck

I am so sorry to hear of the tragic loss of your young friend. Allow this time to be sad, angry, hurt, etc., but on your wedding day, honor him and your marriage by going on as you think he would want you to. My thoughts are with you and FH and your friend's family.

I am very sorry for your loss. Not sure if you plan on doing anything in his honor, but I am getting memorial candles from The Printed Candle Company for my sister and FFIL. You might want to get two and give one to his parents, depending on your budget. I think they'd like that.
