Re: Very sad about wedding....
brentwood country club has an all inclusive package and its about 1000 cheaper in November. The Sterling is all inclusive, and Ariana Waterfall, Manor East as well. You can find a nice place with an all inclusive and if you are willing to switch to November you can get a deal.

Would you consider pushing it back a little... September is still a popular wedding month... Maybe try for November or December??

Re: Very sad about wedding....
we went with a march wedding because of pricing, i know a lot of ppl dont want to get married in the cold--- but the price difference was tremendous-- maybe try going back to the vendor and playing with the dates?

Re: Very sad about wedding....
You really should check out westbury manor. They have a smaller room upstairs, hill room, that you can use for a smaller wedding. They totally work with your budget and even may throw in some stuff for free. Also jan and feb are the cheapest months there....thats why we choose Jan. i wanted a fall wedding but couldnt afford it and was ok with that.
Another way to cut costs is to keep checking on here for brides that are selling stuff after thier wedding. I know I will have some stuff for sale. We are all here to help you Veronica. We all want every bride on here to have a great wedding and we are all willing to help. I think before you say you cant do it go to a few RH's and talk to the BM's and see if they can work with your budget.
Also think about moving your date back which would make your payments less and give you more time to pay for your vendors.

Re: Very sad about wedding....
What about the Mill Pond Country Club (Anthony Matthew Caterers)? I think it's far from you (Medford) But I heard that their packages are very inexpensive!
if you find a RH that gives you a package, the photo and video included also covers the church, its just not for the RH but the church AS WELL! so this shouldn't add to be more money. your FH can rent his tux because it will save money instead of buy one and not for nothing, but David's Bridal has gorgeous dresses for a lot cheaper if you are strapped for cash.
i would seriously suggest checking out some restaurants that are larger than the norm and see what their packages are. if you are only have 75 people, i don't know how many RH will allow that kind of minimum. Please check out Villa Russo, its in Richmond Hill Queens, but seriosuly, you can get married for like under $11K

September is actually the second most popular month to get married now. maybe push it to later in the year for cheaper pricing?

Def check November! You can get lucky and have a warm day.
Also-when i went to Crest Hollow CC; they gave me prices of like $60pp for November! With only 75 guests that's a great price! Leonards of Great Neck can probably get down to about $55!
You don't have to 'Keep up with the Jones's' This is YOUR wedding; do it the way you can. No need for bathroom baskets; dress changes; eloborate invitations; check if you even nee Limos; find an up & coming Photogrpaher and reasonable DJ! Do something nice & simple and you'll have an amazing day! Get your dress from Davids Bridal when they have the $99 gown sale. Enlist help of family members to DIY a lot of the things you'd have to pay someone else to do! No need for a veineese hour; or extra upgrades on your menu; forgo the chair covers if they're not included; and do candle centerpieces! Girl-i am as frugal as they come-i will think of any AND every way to save $$!!!
Start visiting halls and write a solid guest list-you're worrying yourself before you even know what these places can actually offer you! You'll be surprised to see how many places are willing to work with you if you express to them that you REALLY want to book with them. Even if that means pushing the date back.
Start entering wedding contests. You'll be surprised what you might win!! Go to EVERY bridal showcase possible-you might win a free DJ; Limo; invitations. Anything helps.
Try to be positive. Don't get so wrapped up in the 'DAY' and stress about having the wedding of the year; do what is in your budget; and your lifestyle. GOOD LUCK!!!

FH & I went to a wedding there 2 years ago (Saturday daytime). I thought it was a really nice ceremony/reception.
They were def. on a budget; and didn't do anything over the top. The ceremony was like any other; then we went to the cocktail hour room; which had fruit; veggies; cheese. it MIGHT have had a bar; but i can't remember. And i think there were some passed hors d'oevrues but can't remember 100%. Then the bar; closed and we went to the reception (same room as ceremony but they put the tables out) I had some sort of roast beef-FH doesn't eat meat; so i think he had a plate of pasta & veggies.
Only 1 bar; and at wedding full of drinkers the line got very long-we'd have to carry back 2 drinks at a time so that we wouldnt' have to get up again. BUt they were strong! both myself & a friend left that wedding tipsy and hung over later that night so YES we had a great time!! Great DJ; Great people. They seem to really work well w/tight budgets so def. check them out! If i can find any pictures i'll post them.
