So I am grappling with keeping things traditional and going with a reputable photography/videography company (think Duet, Patken, Thomas Paul) and having our video through them.
OR
Going with a more cinematography feel.
I know the initial instinct is to say cinematography feel as if its a no brainer.
But I wonder if its worth the money in the long run, how often will it even be watched, and if in reality the traditional video is all that bad! Is it all worth the additional money?

Re: Video
I'm not married yet, but after seeing all these videos online in the cinema style (TWOTY being one of my favorites), I went as far as to contact them for quotes. They actually offered a very good package for photos and video - the reason I did not book them was that they were just two people, one for video, one for photos, and I was worried if something happened to them that no one would show on my wedding day. The other companies like Pennylane just charged too much for a video that in all honesty I won't watch that many times. For those reasons, I booked with Duet.

Re: Video
instead of asking what style other girls think you should get or are getting for their video....just really think about it. do you like the more traditional video, does that better represent you and your fh as a couple or does a cinematic video represent you more??? its really all about you guys...it is your wedding

Re: Video
i dont feel like the type of video chosen really 'represents' us. its sort of like saying does traditional photos or journalistic photos represent a couple. i think its nice to have both!
im just grappling with whether i will be disappointed with a traditional video which in some ways seems dated. thats all. blah! i wish i would have thought this through before!

Re: Video
eh don't worry. there are traditional ones i have seen that don't look dated and if you see some samples when you meet with people where it does look dated, that's a sign that their products are dated because thats their style as an artist and it is...old haha. you will find something you like. nyfilmworks is really good, you should check them out.

Re: Video
i think it depnds....
some people say well if youre not going to watch the video much then why spend the money.....
others feel that this is one of the most important days of your life so you want to be able to remember it in an amazing way!!
we went with cinematography. Some ppl think we are nuts to spend the money but i feel that this is something super important. Id rather spend the money on video than flowers, but thats just me.
