Videographer schedule/hours

Hi girls,

Yet another question:
How many hours is your videographer scheduled for??
Are they coming to your house before your ceremony?? Is that common--or do most start filming at church/ceremony site???

Are you going to give them a list of shots/moments besides the obvious (which may not be obvious to everyone) that they must film??

Re: Videographer schedule/hours

Some do arrive at the house while you're getting ready - I didn't want mine too. My photographer will be there, and the videographer too would be too insane at my house - I'll be stressed as it is!

My video guy will meet us at the church.

I didn't give him a list of what I want captured (hopefully he'll know what to film!) but I did give a list to my photographer of must have shots with family and friends.

Re: Videographer schedule/hours

Mine will NOT be coming to my house. I didn't want him too but it is an option. He will start at my ceremony (which is at the reception hall) and stay all the way until after the viennese hour. My photo guy WILL be at my hosue and I have him 'til the very end.

Re: Videographer schedule/hours

My videographer has different packages - some include getting ready and some don't. I didn't really want a video following me around getting ready nor did I want the added expense so I nixed it.

My ceremony is right before my reception so I will have my videographer for about 6 hours.

Re: Videographer schedule/hours

My videographer is not coming to my house. If I want him to be there, it was extra (I think $200 extra). He will meet us at the church and stay until the end. He told us that I month before we can tell him of any special events that are going to be taken place that day. we are having our parents dance to their wedding songs instead of the throwing of the bouquet/garter, so that I would liked tape. He also said that if something comes up that day, then tell him a few minutes before so that he can be ready.

Re: Videographer schedule/hours

I have Wild Rose starting at 11:30am but we are doing the pre-ceremony coverage.
Most people have their video people at the Church about 1/2 hour before the bride arrives.

My videographer will start at the church. I didn't want them at the house beforehand. Video will stay until the end after the last dance.

Re: Videographer schedule/hours

i chose the pink rose package from wild rose video.
they will film both bride and grrom getting ready, then 2 camera coverage for church and they stay till the end of my reception.
i feel the getting ready filming should be captured. its a day in my life i'll want to watch over & over again..every aspect of it
