Vienesse
Hi everyone! Im very excited.. We finally booked the date 12/13/14!!I just have a questions about Vienesse. Anyone that knows me knows that I love dessert so vienesse is a must. We are having our ceremony at reception hall at 7, cocktail hour from 730-830, reception from 830-1230 and an extended hour for vienesse from 1230-130. vieneese will be in the same room as the reception. Do you think 130 is too late for a party to end? I dont want people to leave before the vienesse. the other option was to not extend the extra hour and have vienesse during the last hour of the reception. the difference in price is only two dollars per person. what do you think? Also what do you guys think if party goes to 130 but vienesse is between 12-1 or 1130-1230 if they let us do that? I need opinions.. Thanks!!

Is that a Friday or a Saturday? 1:30 seems a little late, but it depends on your crowd. Is there a lot of young people or old people?I think the older people may start leaving early but the young people will stay to party.

Our wedding ends at 1am on a Friday. I think it's fine. People who want to stay will stay regardless and people who want to leave will leave. I say go for it! Do what makes you happy. And I would totally do the extra hour so that viennese doesnt cut into your dance/party time.

Party will be a saturday evening at el caribe in brooklyn. Do you think viennese should be last hour or should i push it up and make last hour for dancing so if people leave early they wont miss vh? About half of the crowd is younger

Are you able to have to go boxes for viennese hour? This would be helpful for the people who want to leave early and at this point of the night, many people aren't hungry.

Re: Vienesse
Can you do Viennese from 12-1? 1:30 is a little late...my family has had weddings that end between 1:00 and 2:00 and it's super late after driving and eating and partying. You have to do what works for you and your crowd though!!

This!! I know sometimes I'll leave a few minutes into Viennese. We wanted it so bad but weren't willing to pay since a lot of people will leave. 1:30 isn't too late, especially if it's something you REALLY want!

I really like the idea of having Viennese an hour earlier, then pushing it to the side, and going back to dancing for the last hour.

I think 1:30 is fine. Our reception end at 1. Maybe I would have them serve the viennese 12-1 and then just party the last half hour if you are worried. Its your day, do what YOU want!

Re: Vienesse
I would make it earlier. It seems kind of late. Lots of people leave before the reception is over. Also I would ask if you can do go to boxes so people can take home.

Re: Vienesse
I have the same timeline as you and having a Vieneses as well. I'm going to push it up and then have the extra hour to party. I heard that the whole day happens so fast that I think people wouldnt mind an extra hour of danceing

I think 1:30 is a little late, but you know the crowd your inviting. I would go with a 30 minute viennesse 12:30-1.Remember people will have been up all day and still have to get home. Why pay for something that some people may not be there for.

can you move up everything a half hour? personally, i would do the ceremony at 630 and then go from there so you can have your midnight dessert hour and are done at 1.

my wedding ended at 1:30 because we added the extra hour with the VH. I say leave it. Order to go boxes - they were a hit. People will leave before it's over but the last hour was a lot of fun dancing with DH and my BP. VH was in a seperate room though. Ask them if they can set it up so it's not blocking the dance floor.
