VIENNESE HOUR FOR FREE??

We got ours thrown in for free. I think this is something you need to get worked out before you sign a contract. It is something you can neg with them. The only reason why they gave it to us is because on the phone the BM quoted us a certain price and I was so happy I went right down to sign the contract (even without DH). She felt so bad when I got there because she quoted me a Fri night price, not Saturday night. So she gave me the Sat night price, but threw in stuff to make up the price difference (VH, martini bar, chair covers, NYC to-go cart, and sushi in the CH).

yup same here, thats why i said earlier if you have a big guest list and are already spending alot of money they might do it...I also paid cash but then again it was either cash or check no cc's

I tried that I will pay cash but my catering hall was not having that!! You are lucky girls!!!

I have the vienes trays on the table. The trays consist of fruit, mini pastries, and cookies. Also an ice cream sundae. We wanted that instead of the Vienese hour.

We went last night and told them we wanted the extra hour that comes with the vienese but we still dont want the food and they accomadated us without a problem.

really thats weird, usually its the other way around...alot of RH's want only cash or checks and dont allow credit cards interesting

Oh they will accept cash but I thought you guys meant that since you paid in cash you saved on the tax. Usually places will take the tax off especially with a large party. We invited 300 and they still were not having any of that

At the end of the night as people were walking out the catering hall was serving hot pretzels, bagels with cream cheese and butter, and coffee and tea in to-go cups for the ride home. We did not get the pretzels, but we got the bagels and coffe/tea.

no they didnt take the tax off hmmm they should've lol. But they did hook us up with a couple of things so can't complain

I'm so bummed now b/c I kind of wanted a Viennese Hour (at least a mini one) but when I asked the BM about it she said 'it is $15 pp and it does not add an extra hour, and you don't really need it'.

I should have said that it's not fair that it doesn't add an extra hour b/c most places charge you less if you just want Viennese without the extra hour! It's too late b/c we already signed the contract, right?

well read the back of your contract...my contract states that we can add or take out anything from our menu up until two weeks before the wedding.

But you should read your contract regardless, its good to know these things

sunset harbour gave us a full viennese hour free if we booked with them by a certain date. so we did and we got a free one.

I am sure you can add anything you want, call up your RH and ask. My contract says I can add anything I want at anytime

We got our Viennese hour for free at the Woodbury Country Club. Its also not going to be on the dance floor so that people can still dance during the viennese hour. They just gave it to us, we didn't ask for it. We are also having a large wedding (we have to guarantee 175 but we have about 230-250 on the list, with a back-up Blist of about 50-60 people) so maybe that was why they threw it in but we're not being charged for it so we were like'sure, why not'

I went to a wedding at the woodbury country club last year and my FH was so impressed with the vianese hour there that he had to have it. He's from Philly and said that nobody does that down here and wanted that to show his friends. He's also got a major sweettooth.

My RH threw it in. It is included in their platinum package but we got the silver package but they gave it to us for free. Only thing its not an extra hour - just the spread!

how do you go about getting free stuff exactly? I'm having 250 people at my reception...I deserve something free! But I don't want to seem like i'm begging or anything though...

they just offered the free stuff to us so dont know...i guess just talk to them ask them what they can do for you or throw in
