my matre'd said that there is a chance it takes people off the dance floor. if you can afford it and you really want it- then go for it- otherwise, i dont think many people will care if you have it or not.

Re: Viennesse Hour
I definitely could not see my wedding without a Viennesse hour. I always always said When I get married I am definitely having one. My Italian relatives love to eat and I am so looking forward to it. I know at Villa's it will be good and they don't take up the dance floor it's set up in another area. Which I think is GREAT. I guess it's all a matter of preference. But I always new I wanted it.

Re: Viennesse Hour
My catering hall puts on a wonderful Viennese Hour (I saw a video of it) and FH and I wanted to end the evening with a bang - so we are choosing to have it.

Re: Viennesse Hour
My hall doesn't offer it. We are having a choc fountain, a dessert, cordials, coffee/tea & wedding cake. The event planner said their not going to offer a Viennese hour because People no longer eat that way (all of those sweets) & Your are taking people away from the dance floor.

I answered 'Other' since none of the other choices applied. I think a Viennese Hour is great, but wouldn't go so far as to say that it's the highlight of the night. Also, I didn't have it at my wedding, but it wasn't really offered that way at my venue. I would do it.

Re: Viennesse Hour
That is something I really wanted. I love dessert, and wanted some at the reception The only thing that ***** is we have to pay extra for the band... so don't know exactly if its worth it or not.

I meant to say as it will be 'one' of the highlights of the night. It was a long post already and was trying to keep it simple.

Personally i love vienese hour--- it is so lavish and i have a really big sweet tooth--- i always want everything that is offered anyway. If money was not an issue i would definitely get it. I just wanted to point out that at a lot of the catering halls, you can negotiate the vienese hour to be FREE! - just ask them at the very beginning before you book the hall.

That would definitely be too late for me. I'm getting married in 2 months.
