I also want to know if you are using the cake they supply (the vineyardy one) or are you having them make a different one?

Re: vineyard caterer brides
That is a good question..I am so happy the cake is included..one last thing right =)....I liked the vineyardy one but I got the impression that you could bring a pic and do whatever you wanted as long as they could do it. I will probably peek at different cake pics..not sure.. JLF41...did you have your tasting yet?

No tasting yet. I live in NYC so getting way out there is a huge hassle. I will probably do all my final meetings and tasting like 2 or three weeks before. I have been to a wedding there before and remember the food being excellent. I will keep you posted!

I want to go for my tasting now... Im hungry.
Who is the person you guys are dealing with, Bill or John? What are your favors? Im so undecided about this. I dont know if I want to do wine (being at the vineyard) or some candy or something.

Re: vineyard caterer brides
I have been dealing with mostly Bill who has been great...answering all my questions etc.. I am not sure about favors, we were thinkig maybe wine charms or cd's. How about everyone else? What are people doing centerpiece wise?

Re: vineyard caterer brides
I love Bill, he is a stand up guy and will answer questions about vendors... He says that Florrisama does a good job for flowers. They are a little pricey, but very proffesional.
I went out to the vineyards and saw the cutest pewter bottle stoppers. I think wine bottles can be cheesy if they don't do the labels well.
Florists anyone??????

Re: vineyard caterer brides
I wasnt going to put labels on them. I was going to have them wrapped up in organza bags tied with a ribbon with our names on them. I was going to make every table a specific vineyard name instead of using #'s and have bottles of wine from that vineyard as favors on the tables...

Re: vineyard caterer brides
This is kind of what I had in mind. Except the bags are going to be clear with a ribbon around the top. I was also thinking of sparkling cider favors for the kids (since they cant drink wine) Or maybe chocolates for everyone I dont know.

Re: vineyard caterer brides
My friend is going to make wedding cake shaped cookies for our favors. Sort of like these...
She is going to put them in glassine envelopes with a red ribbon. I like the wine and wine stopper idea- those were my second choice.
The florist we are using is In Full Bloom in Farmingdale. I went to Florissima and they were very expensive- like $1500 more than other places for the same thing. In Full Bloom is on the high side, but the guy I am working with Keyth, is very creative and just excited about helping me get exactly the look I want. We are going to use all red roses with a deep pink/green hydrangea for the tables. The girls will cary something similar, hand tied, and I will also carry red roses with pink astilbe.
