For all of you who are having out of town guests, how long in advance did you block rooms at a hotel? Which hotels did you look into and were the prices reasonable? If i heard right, i thought bill said some of the hotels provide transportation to and from the reception. Does anyone know how this works if it is true? I really do not want to worry about people driving after all of the drinking that will be going on, you know...
I blocked rooms a little over a year.

GIRLS... i went today for my 'final appointment' - I AM SOOO FREAKIN' EXCITED!!!!!! we picked our cake... marble with cookies n cream filling!! we gave them a pic of the cake we wanted and bill was like 'no problem, we'll match it' WOO-HOO. there was a bride who was having her reception there at 5:30, i was hoping it was an LIW-er but i'm not sure. also, we are getting the vienesse table and our favors from them so they are throwing in a ice chest of unlimited shrimp for the cocktail hour. MMM. i'm going back 2 days before my wedding to drop everything off. 6 weeks from today i will be partying it up at the vineyard a married lady!!

i think a fri is 100pp, a sun is 110pp and sat maybe 125pp if i remember correctly. that's for fall... don't know if the prices change with season

I love it it's so serene and peaceful!
Oh by the way my tasting is in June 07 and i', not getting married until May 08

Yea! I'm so happy for you girls. I can't wait for April to come. Everytime I tell someone that I'm getting married there, they get so excited and say that they've been to an amazing wedding there...raving about the food and service. Can't wait for your reviews!

OK Vineyard Caterers girls! I know that there are two of you out there that are getting married within the next three weeks! We want to hear all about it. What did you girls choose for your food? Are you happy with your florists and who are you using for your hair and makeup? Want to hear ALL the details. Love my initial interaction with the VC sales team, are they great throughout the whole process?

I can't believe I am getting married in 2 weeks. WOW! So far Vineyard Caterers has been AMAZING. We have had no problems with them. They have been very accomadating and throw a lot of extras in at the end. John (bridal attendant) is the best. However, we will see how everything goes the day of the wedding. I will make sure I give you guys a FULL REVIEW. I know I have found them so helpful along the way! This is our menu:
Fresh Baked Tuscan, Rustic Rolls and Creamery Butter
Dessert:
Individual Dessert Tasting Plate
Canoli, Chocolate Truffle, Petit Four, Wedding Cake, Chocolate Dipped Strawberry, a Tartufo Bombe Centerpiece, Finished with a Chocolate Coulif and served to each guest.

Mmmm, sounds yummy. Did you go for a tasting? What did you do for the cake? Bill, the BM, told me to just bring in a picture and they'll do it. Is that true? I know Create-a-Cake makes the cakes for them.

we actually went to the cake place and looked through books of cakes they had already done, and then mixed and matched. my cake was gorgeous. let me see if i have a pic...
by the way, it also tasted amazing! we did a rolled fondant with white vanilla cake and chocolate mousse filling, and got so many compliments!
