Vote for my centerpiece....it is not the normal centerpiece!

Hi girls! I want to go with a much 'different' centerpiece for my wedding and would like to get your honest thoughts and opinions (no feelings hurt here.)

This centerpiece is very modern and cost effective and FH and I both love it but I am worried that it will give the room a very flat look.

Anyway it is going to be a tall cylindar vase with white cymbidian orchids over a monstera leave. (Second picture is not a monstera leaf...but will just give an idea of how the finished product will look!)

I LOOOOOOVE IT!

I am being 100% honest. I am a orchid freak and think it looks elegant yet modern and clean you kno? SOmething about it says fresh and class!

And people will be talking, how many weddings have you seen that at!

I love it!! Its different/unique...a touch of uniqueness is always good...and if you like it thats all that really matters...I like it a lot!!

its gorgeous...i love that its not ur traditional cp...maybe some pretty votive candles around it will help ease ur mind about it looking flat and empty

We considered votives and bubble vases but it ended up looking a bit messy so we scratched that and went with the leaf which gives it a summery, tropical feeling!

Aww thanks! The rocks do look weird in the picture...hmmmm. It might be one of those things that look better in person...or I wonder if it would look ok with no rocks!?!

Very modern and zen i like it a lot!

If you don't do river rocks maybe you could use clear or colored marbles or seaglass instead.

I love it! If you are afraid it will make the room look flat maybe put 3 or 4 votives around the bottom of it, the light from underneath will give it depth and angles.

I love it even without the votives:lovesick

ETA: I just read the other posts, if you do the leaves I would do them in a circle around the whole bottom, I would change the rocks, and do maybe a colored marble or even (sounds odd) but the fravel for fish tanks in your themed colors

if you don't want it to look flat, maybe you can add some smaller vases next to it filled with the same flowers. So you could have 3 vases of varying heights on each table....

Love the vase part, not sure about the leaves, but the ones in the pic (like you said) are a lot different... so it's hard to tell?

like it- its different. i dont think it will look bad at all- they are tall. maybe with some votives around the table..very nice

i saw something in a flower shop in the city.. looks great!!

i like the idea of the fravel for fish tanks or seaglass in stead of the rocks... it'll give the vase some color..
