So I just got an email from him requesting that I send his girlfriend's son an invitation with guest!
WHAT????? I have only met this son ONCE in my life! Why the EFF does he need to be at my wedding????????
Not to mention, I ALREADY HAVE MY INVITATIONS and my envelopes were done! So now I don't have a pre-made envelope for them.
This was my response:
I REALLY wish you would've asked me this before I had the invitations printed. This is why I asked you for a finalized list a few months ago. Now the envelope won't look like the rest.
What about her other son? How can we invite one and not the other?
I will put them on the B list. We already have over 250 people on the guest list. I am not putting them on the A list, because Mike and I have only met them once. If I get enough 'no' RSVP's, I will send them an invite.

I haven't received a response yet. Here's the situation:
My dad and his GF have been together almost 2 years now. Last summer, FH and I had dinner with my dad, his GF and her two sons ONCE. They are both in their 20's, so they're older. Neither is married. Oh and while I've been around his GF many many times, I know NOTHING about her because she barely speaks English! I'm all for bi-lingual and everything, but it's SO hard for us to have a conversation with her. In all honesty, I don't even know how my dad communicates with her.
Now on the other hand, my mom has her BF who we are VERY close to and get along great with. He has a son, and there has been ZERO mention of inviting him. We were asked to put his sister and her husband on the B list, but just out of respect as my mom knows they wouldn't come anyway since they're OOT.
I just don't understand what his logic is, and why he'd tell me to invite one and not the other.

It wouldn't be unreasonable if: A) I've met the son more than once in my entire life, and B) he would've said something BEFORE I had the invitations printed.

So I just got off the phone with my dad. Apparently the son Gary, told his mother that he'd like to attend! What???? Who does that????
He said the other son doesn't like weddings so don't worry about him
Anyhow....I explained to my dad that I already have a total of 260 people on the guest list and that FH and I aren't even inviting any of our co-workers because we have so many! But that we would put them on the B list and if we have cancellations, they'll get an invite.
I'm not sure if I should feel flattered that this guy wants to come to my wedding, or annoyed that he has the ballz to do that?????? Apparently my dad thinks it's because he's dating this girl pretty seriously and he wants to get her in 'wedding mode.' I told him 'ALL HE NEEDS IS A DIAMOND RING........NOT MY FREAKING WEDDING!!!!!!!!'
