I will try to be discreet because I do not want to hurt peoples' feelings as my Daughter has been recently hurt. As I have read posts on difficult family members, being critical of the choices the Bride and Groom have made, I thought, thank THE LORD, we don't have those issues!!! To all family members, ours and whoever's, and I say this with all due respect,' The wedding you have been invited to participate in, IS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!!!!' It's about what the Bride and Groom want. I have decided that weddings bring out the 'best' in people and I have learned to just ignore what others say negativly or those who are trying to live their dream through my wedding!

It's a difficult position Debi is now in, as with some of you other gals. There can be a tactful way of dealing with criticism, but boundaries need to be established, with respect. I agree 100%..I like to involve the people who want to be involved and skip over the people who make it very clear that it dosent matter to them....Its not hurting the bride and the groom it will only hurt the people who diont want to take part in the long run......for the majority of us this will only happen once...so everyone should understand that and make it plesant for everyone involved

Im sure people have talked about most of us behind our backs, but we cant let them get to us. Its OUR weddings not everyones.
We can try our best to make sure our guests are happy and have a good time but most of our wedding choices wont effect their enjoyment so who cares.
