Re: waiting for honeymoon
US! Our cruise doesn't leave until 2 weeks after the wedding.
It doesn't upset me at all though cause I'm not going to work for those two weeks so I'll have time to play around with the apartment getting it all set up and decorate the way I want and then we don't have to worry about anything when we come home.
I'm thinking of it like a 1 month honeymoon (two weeks at home before the honeymoon and two weeks on the honeymoon) and that makes me happy!

FH asked if I would consider doing that too, but I would have to work, in between. I'm stll that my 10 consecutive days off is approved...

Re: waiting for honeymoon
We're going on our honeymoon about a month after a wedding. I'm excited - it gives us TWO things to really look forward to! It was FH's idea: he was afraid of a big 'low' after the wedding, so this way, when it's over, we're still happily anticipating something big.
I am a little upset that I won't have that moment of leaving the reception in a limo on the way to the airport though, that always seemed so romantic.

Re: waiting for honeymoon
FH and I aren't going right away. We are going 2 months later because I am becoming a teacher and if I get a job I can't really take off for 10 days. It kinda ***** but I have almost come to terms with it..lol We are going to stay at the hotel for the whole week and then on the weekend we are going to go to my parents place in Montauk so we will have time to ourselves. I am looking forward to it.

I feel the same way but I keep saying ok it gives us more time to save for spending money, I can afford more clothes to buy for it and it is something to look forward too..lol

That was my fantasy honeymoon, but w/ $aving for a house & all the $$$ we're spending on the wedding and FH doesn't want a long plane ride.
So my 2nd choice became the Carribean, but I heard it's rainy season in june (begging of hurricane season)...
Then after doing a quick search on expedia, there was a cruise that excited Jay, and asked about waiting it leaves 10 days after our wedding

Re: waiting for honeymoon
We are leaving the Sunday after our Friday wedding and are only taking 8 days because we want to make it home before the Thanksgiving travel rush.

Re: waiting for honeymoon
We originally waited until after the summer to get married so that we can go onthe HM right away. The only problem is I don't know who we can afford all these big expenses coming up!! We may wait too.

Re: waiting for honeymoon
we have a 12 nite cruise booked for 3 months before the wedding.
So i am not sure if we are going away again after the wedding or waiting a little while to space it out
