Walking down the aisle...

R u walking down with just your dad or with both parents?

I love the traditional way but my mom is a huge part of my life what to do??? what to do?????

It's traditional in a Jewish wedding for both parents to walk both the bride and groom down the aisle.

I don't think it's right for the mother to be excluded from such an important moment.

I also don't like that the groom and grooms's men stand at the alter before the ceremony.

I'm Jewish, my FH is not but he is being walked down the aisle by his mom (dad is deceased).

His mother who is Italian always regrets her mom not walking her down the aisle because she was such an important person.

And as far as pics going even nicer to see both your parents giving you away as oppsed to mom not included.

PS in a Jewish wedding, parents also stand up with you and your bridal party as you say your vows.

I personally prefer the traditional way of doing it but my mom is VERY passionate that she walk me down the aisle with my dad. I lived with my mom growing up so I totally understand her feeling that way but I hope she knows that SHE is the one who will break this news to my dad when the time comes!

Sounds very beautiful! I know im very blessed to have wonderful parents married for almost 40 yrs & going strong & i do want them both I also want FH parents to walk him down the aisle before our ceremony.

Just my dad, my mom is a huge part of my life too. I'm having her bring up the gifts at church. I feel this is my dad's thing.

I agree. I am having both of them walk me down the aisle. They both raised me so I think it is only fair.

I actually at first wanted my 2 brothers to walk me down the aisle, but I was afraid I was going to hurt my dad's feelings, so my brother's are going to walk my mother down the aisle, and then I will just walk with my dad.
