Dad . . . traditional all the way, but it's common now to have both parents do it . . . . I say do what YOU want though.

I feel a bit guilty too, but my mom is shy and I would rather just have my dad. Plus, I don't want to have to squeeze us all down the aisle...

Re: Walking down the aisle...
Hope this helps, I wanted to involve the mom's too. My dad is walking me down the isle. We're having the mom's do part of the candle Lighting ceremony. THey're going to light the two candles surrounding the unity candle together. From there FH and I will light the Unity candle from the two candles they just lit. I think it's a great way to include them.. you know?'

Both parents, they both raised me so there's no reason not to have them both.

My Dad is walking me down... I almost tear up just thinking about it- my mom doesn't want any attention brought to her... she's gonna be a wreck.

Re: Walking down the aisle...
dad's deceased and mom's walking me down the aisle. if he were alive, i would still have her walk with both of us. IMO, some traditions need changing.

I too have a father and step-father. My mom has been remarried for 30 years and everyone gets along.
I am having my mother and father walk me down the aisle and my step-mother and step-father will walk down together.
I agree if your mom is not escorting you then both dads should.

Re: Walking down the aisle...
I'm walking down with both of my parents because they are both a HUGE part of my life. FH is walking with both of his parents too.
