Wanna tell me why FMIL is so interested in what size wedding gown I ordered?
She starts off with, 'Have you started your fittings?' I said no it's too early, they want me to come in late August.
Then she asks what size I am. 'Small? Medium? Large?'
I said Extra Large
She's like Noooooooooooooo, but like 4? 6?
I explained that gowns run small and people usually have to order 2-3 higher than their normal size. Like someone who is a 6 might have to order a 10. Then I told her about a friend of mine who was small and had to order a 14. That's just how it works because a gown is considered high fashion or something like that.
She looked confused. Good. Why does she want to know my size?? I'm happy that I never gave her a straight answer. Freakin' nosy!

She ordered her dress in a sixteen. No worries. I shouldn't have 'explained' anything. I should have said a size 6 or something. Stupid Becca.

my coworker did that. she wanted to hear a saga of me trying to lose weight. she kept saying 'make sure you dont eat too much, you want to fit into that dress!'

maybe she's going to buy you a dress or some lingerie for your shower or something and wants to know what size to get you.
