Was finding a photographer the WORST part for anyone else??? VENT

I hate it...I have already seen 5 companies, I have a couple more lined up to meet with and it is so overwhelming There are so many packages and pros and cons about each place. All the pictures are starting to look the same!! DJ was easy, hall was no problem, church was fine...but this sucks! GRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

We only saw 3 before we found the right photographer for us.

Hang in there!!! Just make sure you are comfortable with the one you do choose, and do not forget to check the Better Business Bureau website before booking with them.

I thought it would have been difficult, but seeing the products that these photographers offered, then hearing their prices made it easy for us to decide to NOT use a wedding photographer I know it's one of the hardest things for most people, though. I mean, unless you can compare pictures next to eachother, it has to be hard.

nope, not for me...

band was the most difficult to date, followed by reception hall. i have a feeling finalizing the guest list will be up there as far as frustration levels go, but have yet to get to that point...

It is just difficult...they are all reputable and $$ is around the same. I originally wanted to see as many as I could to get a good range of options and be confident that I researched as best I could...but now I think seeing so many is just confusing me!

(Guestlist will probably be worse than this...it was terrible for our e-party but I am taking baby steps!)

it was really hard!! it was definitly the thing I did the most work on and met with sooo many of them. I think I met with 15+ different photography companies before I booked one.

you say the $$ is about the same?

the way i ultimately decided on the different vendors is i approached my search in the following way, i looked at the extremes. i checked out the high end places and services, and then compared them to those less expensive. i found that what worked for me was somewhere in the middle, but seeing the broad range really helped me define my priorities...you may want to do the same, just a thought...

In my opinion it was harder than looking for a hall! We only looked at 5 places, but we went back to 2 of them twice with additional questions.

Photography is the most important thing to me besides the obvious so although it was exhausting, it was worth the time and effort. We actually just signed last week.

I'm sorry you're having such a rough time! I knew who I was picking before I even booked my hall because I'm so familiar with his work (Doug from Patken).

all the same looking?
dont overload too many in a day.. only 2-3 places....

they all have differences... the one i went to was higher priced but i didnt see the justification, another one sounded great but little things turned me off, another very nice and would have booked until i saw the fourth that a romantic style and featured some sephia photos that just jumped out at me and i booked right away..... you'll feel it!

It was the most stressful decision for me. I am very picky about photography and I think pictures are the most important thing you have once the wedding is over. I agonized about this decision until I met the photgrapher who just felt right in my gut. Don't worry, you will figure out who is best for you.

i saw 2 and booked the 2nd on the spot. it all depends on your style and what you are looking for. we did not like the idea of booking at a studio where they often will do a bait and switch on you. we hired someone independently.

Finding the right photographer was soooo stressful for my fiance and I. We saw about 7 before we made our final decision. We also went with the last one we met with. We just clicked with them and loved their work. We just knew they were the right ones. You'll get there to. Don't rush it though.

I thought the photographer was not that bad. I knew who I wanted right away.
Nailing out a contract we were happy with is another story

i looked into a bunch but i am using Leli photography for photos and video.... he is able to customize a package and he came highly recommended

We didnt have a problem wiht the photographer at all - we knew right away who we wanted - the price was a little iffey - and that is what took us so long to decide - but they were absolutely great!
