TOTAL surprise...but I must say I had a feeling...no one slipped...I just had this gut feeling
I kind of knew that it was coming. Our best friends got married in September of 2004 and we were both in the wedding party. That night he promised that he woudl propose by the end of the following year (2005). He had always promised that as soon as he graduated college (it took him a little longer) and got a job he'd get me a ring. He graduated May 05 got a job in July and we started ring shopping together. I showed him what I liked and let him pick it out. I had no idea that he had the ring at all. He kept telling me he was too busy to go buy it. Then on like a Tuesday he's like 'Marge and Andrei want to go the city since they have some free time. Do you want to go?' So of course I said yes. We were already planning to go to the city to go see the tree two weeks later. So I thought it would be then. So we went to the city and I kind of had an inkling all day but he never proposed. I'd even said to him 'I thought you were going to propose to me today' and he was like 'How can I propose if I don't have the ring!!!' We wound up going home and he actually proposed later that night. I was SOOOOOOO shocked!!! It was the best day of my life!
We had been talking about it for months and I knew it was coming up, then I got pregnant so I figured we'd be waiting until after the baby and he actually proposed in Babies R Us while we were crib shopping...lol!! I think I'm the only one in the world that can say that!! We were going to have an April 2006 wedding but in November 2005(6 months after our son was born) we found out we're having another one(girl) in August so we're waiting until November to get married!! All I can say is we definitely know we can make it through the tough times..having a baby at 21 isn't easy, let alone being pregnant with a baby but we love each other and we're doing it!!!!
a little of both...we talked about it but he bought the ring as a surprise and planned my surprise trip. he did a great job and i'll never forget it!
Mine was a surprise... but I knew it was just a matter of time...we had been together for 6 1/2 years - so every possible moment I was thinking - 'maybe this is it'...drove myself nuts...but it was worth the wait! :)

I knew. Fh and i started looking after 3 mos for being together by time we picked one we were together for 4 mos. I went with him to look. I told him i wanted a heart shaped stone and he picked the setting but the only way we could see what the diamond and the setting looked like was to by it and if we didnt like it then we could return it. So we took it home. He told me to take a good look at it cause i wouldnt see anymore. The next morning my parents ask if we were still looking or if we got one. So i told them we bought one yesterday, Then my dad said why isnt on your hand then. I was fine about not having it until my parents said something so when i got to his house i told him and he could see i was upset that i didnt have my ring so hours passed then we played poker i won and got my ring .... In away i wish didnt know cause it massed up the surprise. He had ideas when he was gonna give it to me, if i didnt say anything about it. But he said he was glad i did say something cause he didnt know if he wanted to really wait that long.

My proposal was a surprise....However, I picked out my ring....He wanted me to get exactly what I wanted becuase I will have it for the rest of my life!!!![]()
