longislandcateringhalls.com is a good tool. They let you select preferences (waterfront, ect) and have comparisons- how many people, price ranges, ect.

I don't know how set you are on long island, but Marina del rey is on the water and so is the Surf Club. Marina is right over the throgs neck bridge and the surf club is a little further in new rochelle. Both are beautiful and good food!

Welcome!! I had the same idea myself but wound up with a different venue. I originally went to Lombardis on the Sound and then to Villa Lombardis and wound up booking with them. I loved Lombardis on the sound view but I felt the room was to small for the amt of people i was having.

Check out:
Giorgios- the water is in view
Lands End
Venetian Yacht Club
Chateau la mer
The harbour club
I also heard great things about:
Timber point country club
West Sayville Country club'

Def get the locations magazine at barnes and nobles - it has every reception hall from long island to queens nassau and suffolk!!!

Good luck!

Re: Waterfront Venue Recommendation

I'm getting married at Land's End which is on the water. It's beautiful but expensive. I also looked at the bridgeview yacht club and lombardi's on the sound which were both nice and reasonable. I would imagine lombardi's on the bay would also be reasonable but holds a lot less people. I would recommend those. Crescent beach club is also very nice but in the same price range as land's end. I was not a fan of the Venetian which is also on the water. Hope that helps.
