FH and I just started looking into RHs and we came across the Watermill online. We haven't gone to visit it, but we have heard some good things about it from some people, and looked at the website. Can anyone tell me anything about this place? is it expensive? we're on a tight budget, but want to get married at a nice place!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!

I heard they are reasonably priced. you could try doing a search and see if anyone else has info. and try posting on the 07-08 boards. HTH

Re: Watermill
I booked at the Watermill...I absolutely love it there! It is beautiful and they pay attention to every detail. We never thought we could afford it, especially when the BM started going over the menu. We went with a Saturday afternoon instead of evening which save us $45pp. If you set up an appt ask for Bruce...he was awesome, FH and I loved him!

Re: Watermill
I think it was the end of July when we booked it so it was over 2 yrs. If you have a specific date you want I would suggest going as soon as possible b/c the date I had originally wanted was already booked!

Wow! I guess we better get movin then! We actually don't have a specific date in mind...we're pretty much open to anytime in October/November.
Thanks again for your help!

That's good...you should have no problem w/ getting a date. If you have it in October it would probably still be nice enough to have the cocktail party in the gardens (which is one of my favorite things about the Watermill)...the gardens will be beautiful that time of year. Glad to help. Good luck and let me know what you think when you go!

I book the watermill and I love it, I thought for the pictures that we weren't going to be able to afforded, but they gave me great prices. FM if you want to know more about my package. My BM is Sean and he is great and the good thing that they are open 7 days a week for you too meet with them which was perfect for me b/c FH and I have crazy different schedule.

I'm not sure about pricing but a lot of friends and family members have gotten married there...they have a really nice outside area that they use for cocktail hour and the place is huge...they have a lot of other weddings going on at the same time.

Actually, no more than 2 weddings go on at the same time, and they stagger the times so there are never people arriving/leaving at the same time.
I got married there in November '06 and it was a dream come true. When we walked in the first time DH and I both got goosebumps and I vividly remember him whispering to me that we would never be able to afford it. We were really surprised with the prices and ability to negotiate. Please read my review. Here is the link. Watermill Review There are lots and lots of pics and I also highly recommend Bruce.
Good luck!
