I wouldn't be worried either, the Watermill has a great reputation.

I was kind of surprised to hear they served lobster though based on the number of meals they are preparing at the same time!

Ok now I am worried. I was trying not to worry last night and I went to the showcase and I had a baked clam and I really did not care for the breading at all.

I was at the showcase too!!! I didn't have the baked clam but everything else I tasted was good...

I did not see too much passed stuff. That was the only waiter I caught with food. I had the cake and cookies were good too.

I missed the dessert, but I had a ton of the passed food. I tried the fried wontons, mini knishes, potato pancakes, spinach puffs, mini hot dogs. Everything I had was delicious! I didn't try the baked clams, though - not a fan.

Im sorry I have to chime in here as Dayna is my friend. I feel bad that the food wasnt up to par on the particular nite that she went, but if you guys didnt want a honest mini review of the place, then why did you ask her to post one for then ?

Im not looking to start a whole drama thread here either, & quite honestly , I'm sure that by what I just said will.

I would be upset as well if someone said a negative thing about my hall I guess too, but if I asked for it , what can ya do ,, ??

maybe the chef had an 'off night ' it happens..

Not mad either I could not wait for her review. It is possible they have an off night and everyone's taste is different.

I agree with Toni

This is what we are here for, Weddings. I would rather someone be honest about a place then sugar coat it. Listen, thousands of people get married at the Watermill, so they have to be doing something right.

It's just a review of 1 person and it's not a personal vendetta against your hall.

Re: Watermill Brides.....

i wouldnt worry!

first off...the people having the wedding could have had less food during the CH to lower the price of the wedding.

i went to a wedding there last year..and the food was great and my FH and I were very impressed with the Watermill.

i wouldnt get worried over 1 or 2 negative reviews...look at the brides review and see what past brides are saying about the place!
