Watermill brides - Candelabra?

Watermill brides - Candelabra?

Hi!

Any Watermill brides out there using their candelabra's? I was told when I booked them that they are rented through an outside vendor. I was going to, but I've heard from some people that they actually own them, it seems strange they would charge an additional fee to use them, right?

Thanks!

My notes state that Watermill charged $50 rental per candalabra. Don't recall if it included the candles, but at that price I should hope so.

If you want candelabras, you can find nice and cheaper ones at Ikea, buy the candles there too (i've found them to be the best - unscented and truly dripless), and then just sell them after your wedding.

the rental fee for the candelabras include the candles and i am almost positive that includes rose petals aound it as well

bruce showed us the candles...they are encased in a plastic container (that looks just like a taper candle) the candle within it is on a spring so that as the candle burns down, the spring moves up w/in the case so that the candles remain tall and dripless throughout the reception

Just an FYI I went to the Watermill for a wedding and during the night the candles were falling out of the candelabra. I would just bring it up to them to see if there is anything they can do to correct this problem. HTH

Here's a pic of the candelabra

Whether they own them or not, they still rent them to you. With most wedding stuff, unfortuntly nothing is free and any add ons are extra $ . I asked them if we could use them and they said, there is a fee. So, I would rather get flowers if im paying $50.

Its $50 and includes rose petals and the votives that they usually include.

Before i decided on using flowers, I was considering checking out rental companies. They may have better prices or different options.

I'm not planning to use them. I'll get some low centerpieces instead. Just a personal choice, I don't like any of the things on the table being really high (candels or CPs). I feel like no one really wants to look up all nite at your flowers, I'd rather put them where easlily seen.

I used the candelabras there for my wedding. I think the company was Candlelight Affairs. The candles and the rose petals were included in the charge. I talked to our BM and told him to make sure all the candles were in good so that there would be no accidents... the candles were fine, they weren't tipping over or falling out at all. Since I did want some sort of flower as well I had my florist hang 4 glass vases filled with flowers from each candelabra. I got so many compliments on them and at each table four people got to take home flowers.

I booked the Candelabras for my wedding at the watermill. It is 50 per table and it includes the candles and rose petals. They also included 8 pillar candles to go across the mantle of the fireplace in the Astor Room. I just think they are lovely and elegant. Not the usual flowers for a wedding.
