Funny...I just re-emailed my BM asking what was up with the decision whther I could have pasta during Dinner added. It's been almost a month since I asked. Seems liek a pretty easy question to me, and I need to order my menus..Its annoying me!

I would keep calling until you get him on the phone.

for you candle centerpiece idea, how many candles are you planning on putting on the tables? If you have not bought them yet, Michaels has round pillar candles on sale:
3x3inch = $1
3x6inch = $2
3x9inch = $3

They have assorted colors including white and ivory. The white and ivory are unscented and the other colors are scented.

my banquet manager called me on saturday and i got my date changed to oct. 23.

is anyone booking hotels for their guests? are you using the ones they recommend? do they all provide a free shuttle?

Re: WATERMILL thread

I am pretty sure the Holiday Inn Express is the only one that offers the free shuttle service.

We went with the Marriott Islandia because it was the cheapest price we got by far. Also, a hotel with a bar was important to us since we are having a day wedding and we want to continue the party at the hotel.

Do you mind sharing the price for the Marriott Islandia? We booked and blocked The Marriott courtyard at $109 a room , the Holiday Inn express was $139, and they would not discount the suite for us. The Marriott Courtyard discounted the suite from $379 to $179 for us, regardless if ten rooms are blocked or not.

The only hotel in the area that offers a free shuttle is the Holiday Inn Express(as long as ten rooms are booked to get free shuttle) . The other hotels have shuttles but not free. The Holiday Inn express does not have a bar, the Two marriotts have bars. The shereton is not as close and yes they have a bar.

There is an AC Moore in the Smithtown/Hauppauge area, too, on Rt 111.

We are getting $119 for the Islandia Marriott. All of the other hotels in the area gave us prices ranging from 139 to 189 or something.

dm24angel, I cannot believe they haven't gotten back to you!!!!!!

Thank you very much. I live out east so Ronkonkoma is perfect for me! Sorry to hear that about your bridal manager, I would be pissed. Maybe you could call and talk to a different BM.
