for you candle centerpiece idea, how many candles are you planning on putting on the tables? If you have not bought them yet, Michaels has round pillar candles on sale: 3x3inch = $1 3x6inch = $2 3x9inch = $3
They have assorted colors including white and ivory. The white and ivory are unscented and the other colors are scented.
Thanks!! I'm using votive candles and about 12 on each table with a few taller candles mixed in. I bought some alread( of the tall ones) I found AC Moore has sales on their 3x9 ones for $1.42! and the 3x6 were a $1.
That is a great price for candles!! where is AC Moore?
They are opening one in Garden City I think. I go to the one in Ronkonkoma( I guess its Ronkonkoma, its on Sunrise out there, its new) and there is one in Commack.
Thank you very much. I live out east so Ronkonkoma is perfect for me! Sorry to hear that about your bridal manager, I would be pissed. Maybe you could call and talk to a different BM.
Its across the street from the Atias(sp?) flea market in the shopping center with Toys R Us.
Thank you soo much!!

Re: WATERMILL thread
hello everyone, I haven't been on here for a while either. My best friend just got married this weekend and I was busy helping her with last minute stuff. I can't believe time is flying by so quickly.

One more thing..Im VERY pissed right now at my BM..HE STILL has not gotten back to me!! This is ridiculous to me at this point. A simple yes or no over a pasta dish should not take 6 weeks to answer!
that is totally ridiculous is there any way that you can switch bm?

Re: WATERMILL thread
Hi everyone,
I don't know quite how to put this but apparently it is not 'safe' for us to discuss everything about a vendor on here, even when it is the truth.
I am not at liberty to discuss why. As you will see I've deleted several of my posts where I've offered advice.
Please be careful what you say on these boards and what you say to vendors. Never mention another bride when speaking to a vendor, even in general terms, it could impact her wedding.
If you have a situation that is truthful but not so positive best have us fm each other for details.
Thanks.

Re: WATERMILL thread
I agree-What happened was either some people complained to my BM about what I said or someone read it, and I NEVER EVER meant to put the Watermill down, I love the place to death, but I think my frustration was out of hand in that people were nervous about their events..DONT be, I've never heard a bad thing about the Watermill EVER in a review...So I hope when I vent it is taken as just that. I think we should like Davidsbride says, keep the venting to FM...Vendors read these boards unfortunatly.

Re: WATERMILL thread
Yes, we should be able to vent especially when the posts in question were entirely true and the bride was 100% right.
Unfortunately, instead of a vendor saying they were sorry about how they were wrong in their dealings with a customer they can turn such information around on the customer causing them anxiety and stress.
By the way the above is not meant specifically for any specific vendor or business. Unfortunately, it happens in the general business climate we live in today. Very unfortunate but both suppliers and customers talk to their friends, relatives, etc. and eventually the truth comes out.
If you think a topic might be controversial, then it iss and FM it. If you are not sure if a certain bride is legit then be careful.

Re: WATERMILL thread
Hi ladies. I just found this thread. i am a Watermill bride as well. I am in the vanderbilt room, downstairs. Have been reading all the posts. I have the 'Gourmet Menu', believe that is what it is called. All the 'extras' are included in that package...Martini bar, seafood bar,etc... Believe me it isn't cheap, but works out cheaper than adding everything you want on. I have a question for you ladies...Can we pick the color of the linens? I have not met with Samantha yet. TIA

Re: WATERMILL thread
I've been told by many friends to stick with white (she's a wedding planner). The colored linens are often not all washed at the sam time and the colors can be a bit off or bring in your own linens, her advice but some places don't want to do that.
No, I've decided to do everything w/o Samantha. I'm in my mid 30's and all of my friends are married so I know exactly what I want.
