Re: WATERMILL thread

I was told is was $10 per person if you had it during the last half hour of your reception or $12 per person to add an extra half hour on.

Try to talk him down with the covers. Someone I knew got them for $2 each also you can ask if you can rent them elsewhere and have them put them on for you when they set up the room.

Good Morning Ladies,

I wanted to ask if anyone knows where a good picture spot near the Watermill may be. After the wedding I plan on taking additional pictures so that I won't miss my cocktail hour

Our photographer suggested that we go take pictures at the Bayard Cutting Arbetorium in Oakdale. I think its about 20 minutes away from the Watermill. It seems kind of far to me, but I don't really know where else to go. A lot of places have high site fees, too, just to take pictures, and the Arboretum is only 6 or 7 bucks a car. Its also very pretty.

Re: WATERMILL thread

I was planning on taking all of my pics there as I am also having the ceremony there. We aren't taking pictures at our house as it's not as nice as a backdrop as I'd like it to be. We aren't doing limos but more and more I'm wondering if my friend, who is also a photographer should take pictures of us after somewhere. I can't have my reg photographer as I'd have to pay her overtime at $125. an hour.

I'm just not sure if I'm going to have the variety of pics I'd like. Problem is I was also thinking of having her go to FH's house and take some pictures of his family getting ready that morning.

What do you girls think?

dm24angel,

I had to pay my whole deposit by now. I guess you might have more payments because you are having more people?

I am in the astor room and I got the menu with the chair covers and everything. To be honest, I didn't really care about the covers, it is more about the food, flowers and company. NO ONE will notice the covers, don't sweat it! You are going to have a perfect day and no one will even know that the covers were ever an option.

I paid a deposit and about 3-4 every 3 month payments...I was due to pay my last one before the BIG payment, but decided since we had the money and its only 90 days away to just pay it off ( based on our min.) So we dont have to worry about it.

Re: WATERMILL thread

Makes sense. We had three payments, Aug 1, Oct 1 and Dec 1.

How many months before did you decide on your menu?

I'm thinking I have to pay them a visit in another month or so.

I've been so busy with our new kitchen and work, I've done nothing wedding related. Have to get moving soon.

Re: WATERMILL thread

does anyone know about the white lights in the trees outside? are they on all year or just during the holidays? if it's not all year, does anyone know when they are up?

Re: WATERMILL thread

It's definitely not up all year round. I think they put them up in nov. and take them down in march or april. I wish they would keep them up all year round. It looks so nice.
