Ways to figure out what your having?

Someone told me that you have a person hide a pair of scizzors under one end of the couch and a knife under the other and then have the pregnant lady sit down. If she sits on the side where the scizzors are, its a girl and if she sits on the side where the knife is, its a boy.
It just so happened to be right with me.

In the book Middlesex the grandmother puts a spoon on a string and holds it over the stomach. If it swings vertically, it's a boy (I think), if it goes side to side, it's a girl.

They did this with the mother's wedding ring in Little House on the Prarie

My grandmother always says a woman's face really changes if it's going to be a boy. Also, if you already have a child, look at his or her hairline at the neck. If it's pointed, next child will be a boy, if it's rounded, it will be a girl.

I don't necessarily believe any of these things...but you asked!

I have to say, the hairline thign is freakishly accurate. A bunch of friends were sitting around one night talking (cuz one is PG ) & we all checked our hairlines (by the neck) and it was 99% accurate for those of us who have younger siblings (only DH was off ). It was a little spooky actually

Well, I had DH do the scissors and knife test to me and I sat on the knife so -- boy.

We'll find out just how accurate that test it tommorrow when I have my big U/S to find out the sex!!


ETA: The test was right! It's a BOY!
