Ways to incorporate friends into wedding???

I am having only 2 girls in my wedding party but have a number of people I would like to somehow make part of my day. I know readings is one way and witnesses are another. Any other ideas?? It is an interfaith ceremony.

Re: Ways to incorporate friends into wedding???

You can have 4 people hold up the chuppa, if you're having one. People can do readings, hand our ceremony items, sing.

Re: Ways to incorporate friends into wedding???

I'm having the same problem. So if anyone has suggestions.....

I have to do some research, but there is some sort of ceremony where there are charms you put on your cake and take them off. Each charm stands for something ex: next to get married, or get charms that stand for what they mean to you.

You can dedicate a song to them.

Read a poem and dedicate it to them.

Re: Ways to incorporate friends into wedding???

A witness just signs the kuttabah/marriage license I think. I think you need 2 witnesses.

Re: Ways to incorporate friends into wedding???

I was just talking with FH about this. Someone a while back suggested using the release of butterflys and letting your friends release them after church. I don't know what Im going to do.

We just had a marriage license at our interfaith ceremony and my sister (MOH, Jewish) and his brother (BM, Catholic) signed it.
