Pedestals in Mineola

They will work with you if you give them the dollar amount you would like to spend per centerpiece.

We are taking potpourri and a burgundy mulberry votive candle and placing them in a clear glass flower-pot shaped votive candle holder. I am tying white tulle around it with burgundy ribbon. Attached to the burgundy ribbon, we are using tiny bunches of soft latex grapes (b/c we are getting married out on the North Fork and to go with our Vineyard theme) in burgundy and green. I love them! The stores and Internet all had similar favors for between $3-$6 each. By buying all the stuff ourselves and putting them together, it is costing us about $1.50 per favor!!! We love doing this stuff and we are even having a 'craft' night tonight!

I am using Towers Flowers in West Islip 516-422-6714. My dad knew the owner, so we got a discount on some things. I am getting 12 centerpieces (our tables hold 12 people so I don't need that many), 3 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 MOH boquet, 7 boutonnieres, 4 corsages and a throw away bouquet. My future MIL is making my bouquet (she's a florist in VA) so I didn't need that. I would cut on the corsages ($15)to try and save money. Maybe just give each mom/grandmom a flower to carry. And don't 'supersize' the MOH bouquet. Our centerpieces are not too elaborate,I think simple helps to keep the price down. They are oblong shaped (to go with our oval tables) low on the table, with roses, gerbera daisies, lisinthus, etc. Hand-tied bouquets have same flowers. Let me know if you have any other questions. You can e-mail me at [email protected].
