finding a place to live. Is anyone else a dog owner looking for a house rental?? I thought it would be easier to rent a whole house with the pug, but we are still having a rough time. Plus, DH smokes so that's another negative......

In searching for an apartment - the smoking is a killer. Noone wants that so I would not mention it. We just smoke outside which makes us smoke less We have a dog and had to pay more security, which was a hassle but after alomst 3 months of looking we just neede a place. Keep a look out on the carrier pigeon or penny saver - they go fast but are worth the effort

Thanks! I told DH not to smoke on the way to the interviews with the landlords, that they can smell it if they are non-smokers, but he thinks I am crazy.
Thanks, btw...the HC is great.... I cannot wait to have another affair there. 3 of my guests have gone back to book them for their parties!

these kinds of apts are very scarce.. My apt I have two dogs and we could smoke if we want (we opted to have no smoking in the house except for parties)

I live in Fairfield Hills in Farmingville and they allow dogs and smoking. Although its not a house its huge and you can get townhouse styles. Its a great little community and very dog friendly. Our puppy has tons of friends : ).
