We are having the hardest time finding bedroom furniture.

We are having the hardest time finding bedroom furniture.

We have been looking seriously for 2 months and nothing.
We want a light-medium colored wood, King bedroom set. No slats or cutouts in the wood. Plain and modern looking. Not too much to ask for right!
If anyone has any suggestions PLEASE give them. I don't think there is a store or website we haven't looked at.

Julz - have you tried Thomasville??? I have the Retro set without the headboard. I know they make something similar to that in a light wood.

My set was really inexpensive and the quality is great.

I was going to suggest All Wood Furniture. Smithtown one was just taken over by Rooms Unlimited tho..
How about
Ethan Allen or JC Penney Home store?
Sorry I cant think of any others.

I'm just pissed because Mr Boots always wants the top bunk!

Julz, I was going to suggest IKEA, but I think all of their furniture is composite wood and particle board.

What about Gothic Cabinets? or Liforms, it's in Brooklyn I think.

I already checked those stores.. Gothic CAbinets, JC Penney, rooms unlimited, thomasville

Palebride where is the first one from? Looks familiar!

But the more I think about it bunkbeds would save us a lot of space

we had the same problem...we couldnt find ANYTHING we liked and we were looking for the same thing. We went to Gothic where they make all solid wood furniture and got the most beautiful, solid wood set that is very simple and plain but so sturdy and elegant at the same time. They were a little pricey but in the long run, so worth it. We got to choose the color of the wood we wanted, the details in the furniture and the people we worked with were wonderful. It was ready in about 2 weeks and delivery was awesome. I worked with the place in queens but I am sure that there are others on the island! Good luck!

ETA: Someone mentioned Gothic above me..I didnt see that. You didnt like them?

Re: We are having the hardest time finding bedroom furniture.

We saw all the ones from furniture.com at levitz and seamens. That first one you posted is sooo shiny.
The is one 'set' we like at Gothic... the flat shaker set. We would have to buy handles for it. I saw it online first and then we went to the store, the one near smithhaven mall. We were not that impressed with the quality there. Alot of the drawers were crooked and didn't open smoothly.
How is your furniture from there? Maybe these pieces are just abused in the showroom?

Ahh I remember why we didn't like that one... the 'quilted' look on the doors of the chest.

Sorry! What about getting something custom made?

And again, there's always bunkbeds
