We are painting the kitchen today! *UPDATED WITH PICS*
Original post by Claud2001
I should have some pics by tonight or tomorrow. We are painting the bottom half of the wall red and the top half tan. There will be a white chair rail separating the two...but, that's not going up for another week or so.
So far, we've had to abandon the Ralph Lauren paint - OMG did that stuff totally stink! Horrible, horrible coverage - even WITH a red primer/basecoat! I will never use any other paint but Sherwin Williams...it has been tried and true for us every project we've attempted.
Wish us luck! I can't wait to have the kitchen finally look completed!

Thanks everyone We picked the chair rail mouldings this weekend - I am SO EXCITED about them - I will post pics when they are done!
We chose a fairly simple chair rail, but it has a wider top edge. It almost looks like a shelf, but it's not THAT deep. We also chose a small accent moulding that will go on the bottom of the chair rail - and it has a leaf detail in it, which matches with our cabinet pull/knobs.
I'm so excited that it's all coming together!

Claud, I LOVE it. The red you picked out picks up such a great tone of the tiles on the floor, it looks great!!!
