We found the perfect home in Great Neck....we put a bid in and are now waiting. We were told there is a bid in for slightly higher than what we put in but we are willing to negotiate.
I really wish we put a higher bid in though....I feel like we are now at a disadvantage. DH thinks we will look too anxious if we call back and raise it...but i just want this place....i dont care. I am sitting like a nervous wreck....should i call or just wait till the morning?

Oh.. hang in there...
I lost the house I wanted last night too - b/c of DH! I understand his point, but I loved it. (I mean, I'd be changing the kitchen/dining room eventually etc...cosmetic things) I loved the location, SD, and most of all the house had huge bedrooms! Ah- it was going to be so beautiful. However, DH didn't even want to bid on it since we've only been looking for 2 weeks- and this is the first house HE saw. We could've w/drawn the offer had we found something wrong w/ the house in the inspection etc... but he was not trying to hear any of that! So, whatever is meant to be is meant to be. I know- it really s*cks... best of luck! I hope you get it.
(&I hope the deal w/ that other couple that got MY home falls through! lol)
