Me and FH found our apartmetn today. It is only 2.2 miles awy from work in a nice area. It's a little more than we wanted to pay and a bit smaller than what we were looking for but it is nice.
The landlord is even holding it for us until October 1st even though he was looking to fill it immediately. He even said that we can start moving stuff in before then, but rent is due 10/1.
It a first floor apartment with a L/R, Kitchen, D/R, BR and Bath with all utilities including central air. The only extra we have to pay for is phone and internet. I'm so excited.
We looked at such dumps over the past few weeks. We decided to jump on this since there really isn't much out there.

We actually found this one on a bulletin board at my job. He had faxed it over and we found it and called. Thank god because we looked in Newsday, Pennysaver and through an agent with no luck.

thats great, we are looking for an apt for now too (soon) just so when we start house hunting we dont have to drive from queens all the time!

That's a tough ride...are you looking in Suffolk or Nassau? There are a few nice complexes, but they were way out of our price range.
