We found...(UPDATED WITH PICS)

...my mom's original wedding band. Apparently, she had to have it cut off when she got pregnant with my oldest sister and then promptly lost it. It was a solid band of white gold - now with a cut in it. We will have it soldered back together, sized and buffed/shined so I can use it on my wedding day. My SISTER, actually used my father's band 15 years ago - probably because we couldn't find mom's. I am Jewish and I must be married in a solid band. There is an inscription on the inside that reads:

'Eternally Yours 5-27-56'

That was my parent's anniversary. I am hoping that a jeweller will be able to keep this inscription in tact. Any suggestions for jewellers who could possibly do this, would be welcomed. There is really nothing to the ring itself, but knowing that their marriage will be a part of mine pleases me greatly. Next year would have been their 50th. It is amazing how things come full circle. When one good thing ends, another begins.

That's a beautiful inscription, Leslie!! It's wonderful that you found your mom's ring!!! It was in hiding, waiting for the right time so you can wear it on your wedding day. You have the right outlook!!!

I'm actually planning on having my father's wedding band attached to a braclet (Toni Braxton did it with her mothers) my dad passed away when I was 10 so I thought this would a nice way to have him near me on my wedding day

Maybe it means she likes me better than my sister? LMAO. Honestly, I do agree with you Cindy! My wedding plans have so many signs of good karma. A few bits of weird karma, but basically good.

Mom gave me the ring to fix. I wanted to show you guys the inscription. It isnt the most beautiful ring in the world but knowing that I wisll start my marriage with a ring that represents what a long marriage Mom and Dad had, means EVERYTHING to me.
