We finally both received our passports via Priority mail. Mine came yesterday. FH's came on Thursday of last week.
Ladies... don't wait. And if your date is quickly approaching call and start insisting on expedited services. Lie and say you are traveling in 2 weeks.. I had to do that and said I was traveling by 8/13.... I just got mine yesterday. We originally applied at the Post Office on April 8th.
I was really starting to get nervous since we needed our birth certificates back to apply for our marriage license...but now we can get married and go to Tahiti!!!!

That's great, we had a similar post office nightmare. We applied 10 weeks in advance, go them like 3 weeks before the wedding, I was freaking out. We also had to get copies of our birth certificates from our town hall to get our marriage license, what a pain!!

OMG!!! you applied April 8th & just got it? I am glad that you got it but I am really nervous now.
I sent my application in on June 2th & I'm going on my HM Sept 30th.
Do you think they will speak to me if I call them & ask to have it expidited?

OMG...if you ladies applied for it in April and got them now..that means I won't be getting mines till either next month or Oct..I applied in mid May but in reality that means they didn't process it till June...

Congrats! I'm sure you are relieved to have that checked off. Question-- when you lied and told them you were traveling withing two weeks, didn't you have to show them proof (i.e. airline tickets, reservations)? I never thought to lie because I always assumed that you needed to have proof that you were indeed traveling within two weeks.

Sure just say that you are traveling in 2 weeks (specify a date)....
And no I didnt' have to provide proof. I also said I need my documentation back for my marriage license.

I am so happy to announce that I will be receiving my passport this week. I went online to chk the status and it stated that my passport has finish processed and is mail out...

we just applied for ours on Saturday, but we paid to rush them, they said we should get them in 2 weeks, we did give them the dates of travel though.. its in Oct. I hope we get them

my FH got his in 2 weeks after he sent in the form. he paid an expediteing fee but it was worth it.

I thought I was the only one stressing like this. I applied in April, and I still haven't gotten anything. I did call this past Friday, so I hope that put a fire under someones a$%
