We had some weekend!!!
So Saturday while I was at a wake with my mom, fh and my dad were working on my kitchen floor. They laid the wood to go under the tile and were about to start tiling. But then fh went into our newly finished and newly carpeted den and when he walked back into the kitchen he left wet footprints. Turns out when we put the molding around the floor in our den fh accidently got the pipe with the nail gun. Luckily they had been acting as plugs. But when he bled the hot water system to take out the radiator in the kitchen he put pressure on the system and the nails popped out, causing the pipe to leak ALL OVER our new rug and the cement floor below it. The cement floor has grooves in it and the room is crooked, so the water ran through the grooves under the entire rug. We spent the whole evening using sponges and fans to dry out the floor and rug.
This morning FH gets up and it turns out the pressure also caused a rusty part of our oil burner to give. So there was water all over our basement. It wasn't hard to fix or clean up, but just another thing to deal with.
Everything is back to normal now but it was some weekend dealing with fixing everything.
