im not a very emotional person but this morning when i was watching Today in NY cover when they were getting into the car for the first time to go to church as soon as i saw them i started to get choked up.
I really hope he does everything he promises to do and its going to take a while to turn this country around but i really believe in this guy.
FYI i HATE politicians. But i love me some Obama.

My whole staff watched online via our computers this morning! I called my 76 year old grandma and we watched and cried together!

My principal had the whole school watch it!!!! The kids were so happy that they were clapping after he got sworn in...I got the chills!!!!
I took the day off today not to watch this though. I am a Republican and even though I respect the new President and hope he does a great job, this was just another day for me.
I watched it in the cafe at work.... everyone was in there clapping. I am excited but skeptical. I don't like politics but I must admit when they said that Bush presidency expired at 12 noon I almost cried. I think there was a tear... a happy tear. I really hope Obama will deliver on all that he promises... we need it.
my students were bummed... every school in the country must've been trying to watch the inauguration via internet!!! we didn't get to see the whole thing!

I'm a Republican so wasn't as excited since I disagree with many of his political views. However, I was very proud to be an American in that this point has come in our nations history for a black man to be President. And proud at how our country transfers power effortlessly. I also think their family seems so genuinely close that it made me feel good seeing that part of it all. The girls just are adorable.
