FH really didn't want to see Chateau Briand but I figured since he works in Westbury, why not. lol
First big no no and FH was not happy with this was when we got to the reception area to fill out our info they said on more than one occasion in front of other people we don't do 125 for a sat. He thought that should've been handled better but aside from that we were both surprised as to how big it was inside. Since we are planning to get married Fed or March having so many options to take pictures is great!! We both loved the 'photo room and the menu options are great as well.
In the end it was missing that WOW factor for us but we are so keeping it on our list.
We saw this place on Friday and they called Sunday asking if we made a decision. Is she crazy????? lol
I'm at work I will posting more info on the venues all day. hehehe

Dont settle. There are a ton of places on the island you will find the perfect place.. Be patient. This is fun!

Next. Roslyn Claremont Hotel
The food and beverage director we met was really nice. he knew his menu very well buttttttt we were not happy with the reception room FH did not like how it would be set up for a ceremony. We also didnt like that the bar would not be in the reception room. Didnt get to see the cocktail room because there was a party going on in there. oh and we couldnt see the bridal suite either. We just felt it wasnt for us.

I'm wondering why Crest Hollow is not more popular? I know I'm partial, but I saw about 12 places and found it to be the best....I'm just curious...

FH doesn't want to go there Not because he heard bad things but one of his staff/friends just booked there two weeks ago. lol there getting married there jan 2010

Chateau La Mer- we loved the view of the main room. the smaller room and the cocktail room was not at all for us. i did not care for the ceremony room at all. the menu seemed very out dated. FH and I have a theme and food is very important to us. In the end it was not for us

I saw the Harbor Club this weekend. Nice view of Huntington Harbor and I like the fact that they do only one wedding or event at a time. Their event times are Sat: 1 - 6 pm or 7 - 12am Sun: 12 - 5 or 6 - 11pm
Feb/Mar their minimum is 75. For April, minimum is 100. Their BM Matt was very nice and helpful. if anyone wants any other info, FM me!!

We also spent the weekend RH shopping!!! It was exhausting but fun haha.
We saw.... Nissquogue Golf Club Lombardi's on the Sound Bellport Country Club Hamlet Willow Creek
We have narrowed it down to Lombardi's or Willow Creek.. But I am really still undecided!!
If anyone would like info on these, let me know!!

I thought it was very nice. FH thought it was boring. One room I thought would be to big for 125 but they said they could make that work. There large cocktail room was great. I also thought the food selection was great. They seemed really nice and considering the time year we want to get married they were willing to work with us.
