Also, what did you think of Waterview club? FH and I checked that place out. Stewart Manor Country Club too.
Oh, I would also highly recommend checking out Crestwood Manor for brides with mid-sizeplans, maybe around 125-150 guests. It's brand new and really nice.

Cresent Beach Club- WOW!!! What a place!! FH and loved the look of this place!! This is so us!! Pricey!!! We get to design our menu buttttt we felt that they weren't offering us enough food compared to all the other venues we have seen. We are keeping this on our list

Ok...I hope I don't get too much grief for this BUT.....
It seems like there are places that you saw that had a few negatives, and a lot of positives. I def think you have to be picky but there is always going to be a few things you're not crazy about but overall it's great. I def don't think you should settle, but you may have to be a little flexible and weigh the pros and cons....
I love my place, if I could change anything I would want a bathroom on the same floor as my room, but I wouldn't not book because of that....
JMO!!
We are so going to be picky We are paying for this all on our own Sure we will way the pros and cons but I can't put any venues on the list that I like that FH doesn't care for. We have a couple of more to see this weekend. we are not done yet

Inn @ NHP is gorgeous. If you can afford it i say go for it!

I wanted to see it buttttttttt FH does not He wants nothing to do with anything on jericho. I have no idea why. I think its because he grew up 5mins from there. I saw on the site how they fixed it up. It looks great. He is such a groomzilla

In my honest, but opinionated opinion, you should look at the Inn. I live 5 minutes from the place, my gym is right across the street and I have this strange scenario that I get to see my future RH every day, hahaha, so I was also very against it because it is almost too close to home, but it is really amazing. The best place we saw - and we saw A LOT of places. Close to 20. Its worth checking out!!

yeah once he walks in he will change his mind- you should see the cocktail hour room!

I really like Stewart Manor...it was too small for us but the place is really nice, reasonable and they are willing to work on the menu anyway you want. Jim amd James were great too!!

I'm wondering why Crest Hollow is not more popular? I know I'm partial, but I saw about 12 places and found it to be the best....I'm just curious...
i have been to crest hollow SEVEN times. no exaggeration. i know that place like my own house.

I became very picky during our search for an RH and I did think it was a cute place, but I was concerned about the CH room being small and there is one bar only, situated outside of the room. The BRs were nice, the bridal suite was a closet being used for storage at the time we saw it. They don't really have 'bridal attendants' but the sales guy you meet with is there for you on your day. I've heard mixed reviews about the food - but the menu is flexible. It's pretty inexpensive, less thatn $100, but I didn't think it was inexpensive enough for all it is lacking. They don't specialize in weddings, so I just wasn't comfortable with that. The place itself was very nice. JMHO

I don;t know if it's too far out east, but FH and I looked all over the island and even in Westchester, and ended up falling in love with Giorgio's in Baiting Hollow. Once you see what you're getting there for the $, compared to so many other places, its easy to see why this is such a great venue...The menu is never-ending, the owners are so accomodating and nice, and the prices are very fair...It's definitely worth looking at as another option...
