Wearing a Veil

Original post by danalebron

Hello ladies,

I am getting married in April. I was thinking of not wearing a veil and my MOH said that was tacky. She said that it is my first wedding so that I would have to wear a veil. What are your opinions?

I'm a firm believer in doing what you want for your wedding. If you're not comfy wearing a veil, there's no written rule that you have to. I wasn't sure about wearing one, but when I tried mine on w/ my dress, I knew I wanted it. It's your wedding, you can't let anyone pressure you into doing something you dont' want to.

I AGREE!! You do not have to do anything you dont want to do!

Of course you don't have to do anything you don't want to. When I tried my dress on and then they put the veil on it sealed the deal of me. and a veil doesn't have to be a big fluffy thing to cover your face you can get nice simple, one layer wear it on the back of your head and take it off for the reception!

Not wearing a veil is definitely NOT TACKY! If you dont want to wear a veil dont. I can say however I was SO against a veil it wasnt even funny. But not only did I wear one but I had 2! try it with your dress and make your decision then. If you dont like it dont wear it. Its your wedding!
