Re: wearing ering at wedding?
Since we had a Jewish wedding, it worked out well. In a Jewish wedding, the ring is put on your right index finger. Then, later in the ceremony, the rabbi said something about how we might want to stop and switch hands and fingers, and I did. So I had my engagement ring on the entire time, and I was able to wear my grandmother's pearl ring on my other hand, instead of the engagement ring. If you look on the bottom, you can see my engagement ring (which is blue.)
Of course! I will put it on my right hand on the way to the church and then put it back on my left after we are married.

Re: wearing ering at wedding?
I'm not sure what I'm going to do - but my best friend last year, she had me wear her engagement ring until after the ceremony, then I gave it back during the reception.

I want to wear my grandmothers ring in my right hand. Would it be awful if I left my e-ring on and just had my wedding ring slipped on above it

Wear it on the ring finger of your right hand and switch it back to your left after the ceremony.

Re: wearing ering at wedding?
I iddn't knwo what to do with it either, but then I found out about the Engagement Ring Ceremony... the officiant will say this: I have here in my hand, another ring with special meaning, N.'s engagement ring. This ring was given with the promise that is fulfilled today. N., please put this ring on N.'s finger, above her wedding band, so that your marriage will allays be protected with the love that brought you here today.
So after that I'll be wearing it right wear it belongs and will stay forever
