I would be really mad. There are tons of other colors - no one should be wearing white except the bride and flower girl.

I totally agree. I don't think I would be mad but I would be curious why someone would wear white. The only who should be in a white dress that day is the bride. IMO

Re: wearing white to someone's wedding opinions please!
If it was just white without any colors on the dress or pattern, I would not be pleased. And I'm basically the least picky person around! lol But I would never wear white to someone else's wedding and I'd like people to have the same respect for us and our day.I wore a dress with a white background and large colored flowers on it to a wedding last summer but asked the bride first if that was ok. She was fine with it, and it wasn't a coctail dress or anything -- more like a sundress -- so there was no mistaking it for a bride's reception dress.
But to answer your question, I would not be happy about it. If I had a choice in advance, I'd ask people not to wear white to my wedding. (Or black... or red... lol... I'm doing pastels for our wedding so red would be way too bold!)

Personally I think this is a big no no and I dont understand why ppl do it. There are a million other colors to choose from. why do people have to wear white on THAT day?

I think its a matter of respect for the bride. You don't wear white! I mean you really couldn't find something in another color! I needed to find a white dress for my RD and it wasn't easy!

My cousin got married last month, and his mom's boss's wife wore a white cocktail dress. I was shocked. She looked great, but I was still shocked. I would hope no one would do that at mine.

Some people just do not know etiquette and don't understand that they should NOT to wear white to a wedding, as strange as this may sound. You would think it would be common sense, but many people lack it. I don't believe anyone would deliberately show up in white with malice toward the bride, so just chalk it up to they didn't know any better and try not to be upset.

I think wearing white to a wedding is a big NO NO. I feel it's very disrespectful to the bride.

you know, i think it's completely tacky to wear white to someone's wedding. not that i think it'd take away from me, but it's just wrong. i don't think i'd be mad because honestly, i hope i'm having too much fun to give a crap! but i definitely wouldn't be the one donning a white dress at someone's wedding, unless it's mine and i'm the bride :o) jmo.

I think it's rude and thoughtless.I also think the bride is going to be so busy she probably won't notice... but the other guests will... and BELIEVE me they will be talking! So unless you feel like being spoken about negatively... DON'T DO IT!!!!

Re: wearing white to someone's wedding opinions please!
I dont understand how people out there still dont get that you SHOULD NOT wear white or any shade of it at a wedding!!!! Ya know what, on the day of, I'll prob be too busy to even notice, but people should know this by now... At my shower, someone asked if she could wear a 'bone-colored' dress... i was thrown back that she even asked that in the first place... and i believe she even knew that my dress was ivory/dark ivory... I guess its nice that she asked, but you shouldnt have to ask!!! you should just know, that its a no no... Theres a 1000 diff colors out there to choose from
