When its finished you will be able to click on the small image to get a bigger image (usually more interesting than the smaller one)
But do you think its too much? Im trying to tell a story with the photos so its hard to eliminate too many. At the same time I dont want people to come to the site and think 'oh, forget it, this is too many to bother with'.
FYI:Im going to include a note with my thank you cards to visit my site to see photos.

I like the idea, but two things jump out at me -
1) How long will it take all these photos to load for people w/dial-up? and 2) I think it would please my eyes more if there was some very small separation between each small image. I love the idea of story telling, but I was getting a little bleery-eyed....that could be b/c of tiredness, though...LOL

I like that you can see all of the photos at once, but I agree with Claud. I think if there was a small separation between the photos it would be easier on the eyes.

i agree with adding a little bit of space between the pictures .. it would make it clearer to look at. i love the idea and the pictures!

I still like the 2nd option you posted earlier....All those pics are great to see, but it's almost overwhelming when you see them all at once. Maybe you can group them smaller in more places on your homepage? or throughout the site on another page?
I scanned in all my photos onto my site, but grouped them as they happened, so that it's not too much at once. On the first page was the meeting at my house, second page was church, etc. Mine's not terribly creative but it does the job!

I agree it is a little too busy for me. I have a high-speed modem so it loaded quickly but I have no idea how long dial-up would take.

I really like it, but also think that some of those beautiful images get lost, because they are all so close together.....if there is any way to separate them, I think that would enable the viewer to really absorb each and every photo!
Also, I have dial-up (ugh), and it wasn't slow to load......

Teri: That is just the ceremony photo page. There would be one like it for reception, etc... I wouldnt want to make several pages for the ceremony alone.
As for slow dial up - no matter how I lay it out, its going to be a little slow (unless I remove most of hte photos) but I have a dialup and it was about 30 seconds. If it were a commerical site, then I would say it should load faster but since most of the poeple looking at the site will have logged on purely to see our photos, i think they will wait.
I have tried it with space in between and it doesnt look so nice (looks even more scattered/disconnected and less 'finished'). Any other suggestions on making it less busy?

How abou this? SInce you say separating them did not look nice (I had thought about that idea too LOL) how about putting less pics on each line, even 1 less pic may make a difference. Also, I love how you higlighted a couple pics and made them bigger, how about doing that to a couple more to break it up a bit. I especially like the one of LUke by himself looking up, and also the one of you both that's all the way at the bottom.
Are the pics you have there the only ones you want displayed? I was thinking, also, putting some of your color shots in between the b/w ones to break it up a bit also.

What about, having them flow in like how shutterfly does it so you can view them. Or a click here to see a slide show of the ceremony pictures???

Shamma: Sorry but I absolutely HATE slideshows. For someone with a dial up (me), they are a complete nightmare. I never get past the second page!
