Is everyone having an afterparty? I'm thinking if I'm paying all this money for the wedding already why should I have an afterparty? We are not planning to stay in a hotel or anything?

We might since we are going to stay in a hotel after the wedding and since we have alot of OOT guest that are going to be there but also depends on how much partying someone wants to do after a night wedding.

Well, we talked about since our wedding ends at 5:00 but not sure. If anything we may just have close friends and family go over to my mom's for a little. Nothing crazy though.

We plan on having an after party at the hotel right next door to the RH, this way my friends don't have to drive home drunk and we can continue to party

We are having one at the hotel... they provide a shuttle over there and they have a lounge and stuff...
I also have a lot of people that I don't want drinking and driving. They will end up leaving their car at the RH and getting in the shuttle. My BM already said that would be fine (Super nice)!
I also want to have more of a party that I can party at... with music I like (def not what everyone else likes), etc....

i am not really looking to have one but my dad wants to throw one the day after because it will be a saturday but seriously we are all in the family putting enough money to this wedding!!!

Ours is ending late but we are gonna shuttle whoever wants to go to a hotel nearby and hopefully take over the bar/lounge/lobby area and just continue the festivities! With my group, they will still have energy, haha.

I want the after party to be at a club when music is being played beside the bar. My family have been known to leave a wedding at midnight and go clubbing. So since FMIL, FH and I are the only one who live in LI, I want a place like a lounge or bar with dancing.
No, many brides doesn't have one. I'M doing it because mine ends at 5 pm We like to party. You should not feel bad in any way of not having one. You can party with your DH. That is all the matters.

No, I'm not planing on having one because my wedding is 8pm-1:30am...I love partying but I think I will be too tired to after my long day plus I know I'm going to want to be with my 'husband' and he is not much of a party person. If it were up to just me I would have considered it though.

im not planning an afterparty. im sure we will hang out at the hotel bar after the wedding but ppl are on their own as far as buying drinks...i think its unnecessary to pay for an after party after spending so much on the wedding!

Whatever hotel we pick for the OOT guests we will also stay in. We'll all hang out at the bar but it will be a cash bar...they'll have 5 hours of open bar at the wedding!!!
My sister did this after her wedding and since the bar would have been closed by the time the wedding ended she had to pay $200 to keep it open with a bartender...

I think it's nice to have a hotel after the wedding...it would just seem weird to me to go back to our house and not have all the pamepring of a hotel on the day of my wedding. JMO

Yeah shes right... so if any of you girls know people that dress up in HERO costumes for a party can you FM please???? Oh oh... a food hero... gotta be more specific...
