Wedding band recommendation NEEDED!!!

So, since I'm almost 100% booking my venue tomorrow evening (YAY!!! you guys are the first to know, so shhh! lol), i figured I'd start looking at vendors. My theory is start early so I don't stress out about it in 6 months. I've been sort of a pain in the *** to my fiance and both of our parents because I have a vision and refuse to settle. I'm a little OCD (as you'll see from my long winded posts), and forced him to check out 25 RHs with me til we found the perfect one. I'm worried if I don't ask for help, I may get too overwhelmed and never find a band, and end up with my I-pod plugged into a speaker. LOL

Speaking of my I-pod, it has a mix of music, I love ANY rock, like the Beatles, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel Dave Matthews Band, Bon Jovi, Meatloaf, and 80s rock (Billy Idol, Joan Jett, etc), but I also have a ton of NSYNC, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, and Bruno Mars (my current pop music crush). Basically, I like anything that makes you want to dance in your underwear with a hairbrush as your microphone when you're home alone.

I know most bands have a standard list of wedding music, and that they'll play whatever I ask them to, within reason, but I'm looking for a band with pizzazz, a band that has male and female vocals, a band that will keep people dancing and moving all night long. I have a budget, I'm not exactly sure what it is yet, but as much as I think the music is important, I can't fathom spending $10k+ on a wedding band.

I also have some friends who are phenomenal singers, and I'd love a band that would be okay with them possibly jumping in and singing a song or two.

I'm taking any and all suggestions, hopefully I'll be able to start going to showcases starting next month. Even better, if anyone has any video of a band from their wedding, I'd love to see it if you didn't mind sharing.

I initially wanted a band however, it definitely isn't going to be happening. I was quoted twice for two bands. I'm getting married on a Saturday in December, but again it's december...

I was quoted $9K for a 7 piece band with 1 vocalist
and $11K for another band with 1 vocalist

Now those were only two bands, I'm sure there are others out there that I may have not been interested that might be slightly cheaper, however, I have yet to find them!!!

best of luck to you!! if you truly want a band, cut elsewhere!! Photos are more important to me, so I'm spending a good amount there rather than music!!!!

Bands can be anywhere from $6-$15k! But if it what you want then great!

Times Square Orchestra - they can play everything well and they have great energy. No one sat down all night! They do showcases so you can see them live, which really helps.
