My wedding band was alittle over 2k. It is the eternity band. We went to the diamond district on a saturday morning, and talked down the prices. It seems on saturday they are willing to work on prices plus the fact they are not that busy early in the morning.

Definitely disagree with this...
My band is white gold with 1 carat of diamonds and is $900. It all depends on where you go. If you pay $5k+ for a wedding band, IMO you are OVERpaying big time!! I bought my ring at Diamond Roof in TriCounty for $900 and saw it at Fortunoff's for $3900. It's all about the retail markup!

ours total were $1,800. At the time - i freaked over the amount, but quickly realized that these are rings that we're going to wear forever...so they have to be something we LOVE...and we LOVE ours.
i thought i'd end up spending about $200 on mine, but after shopping around, i couldn't get what i wanted for that much. and we shopped around a lot for them, i spent almost 1k and it has 7 diamonds going around in white gold. i LOVES it!!!

im going tomorrow - so i'll know then - for mine, what i wanted was platinum with 7 round diamonds (half eternity with bars instead of shared prongs) - i think the diamond were around a 0.25 each making the total carat weight of the band around 1.75but i might have to get something a little smaller to save $$ - FH's will probably be less than 1K - maybe even under $500 depending on what he goes with

The one our jeweler showed me and I FELL in LOVE with is 4000. (I can only get platinum b/c I'm allergic to white gold). And that's MORE than we budgeted.
FH saids not to fret about it b/c he give FH an amazing deal on my e-ring and so he'll probably give us the same discount for the wedding band, but I am still fretting! lol
Plus, I wanted to get a plainer everyday band.

I am soooo sorry, ladies. Yes, I thought you meant MUSIC BANDS. Nooo, I am hoping to spend under 1k on wedding rings, but it will prob. be in the 1-2k range.
I have been getting a lot of FMs about the wedding band I'm using, so I guess that was just on my mind. Now it makes sense. When I saw the poll, I was like 'under 1k' for a wedding band? How are they pulling that one off. LOL!!!![]()
I am was freaking out over the price of my band alone....mine has baguettes, round and princess cut diamonds in this really cool design and they go half way around on both sides. I went with this because it matches the stones in the setting of my e-ring. I was going to go for something less expensive but FH says to go for it since it will be my wedding band forever and he wants me to love it.

I am not trying to talk you out of it but if you want half 7 may be too many especially at that size. I am sure you have tiny fingers. I tried on similar and 4-5 stones were bringing it almost all the way around -- just an FYI!

What else was in the band -- diamonds I am assuming. You can get platinum and diamonds for under 4K it just depends on what else you want.
For mine and FH's rings it was less than $900. We shopped around at aloooot of places. My ering was very hard to match.
I guess either I got a really good deal or I am cheap. I can't wear expensive jewerly, I am too afraid I will lose it. Somehow I keep losing my necklace (I can't find it anywhere and I am so upset about it). The rings were one of the first things we got. We went to a police auction site and got the e-ring and wedding bands for both (complete matching 3 piece set) appraised for $4500 for $325. FH wanted to change the diamond on the e-ring because he thought it was too small but I have gotten many compliments on it.
