my band has lil diamonds all around the whole thing. its very thin, and they are tiny. But it looks nice with my engagement ring. however we got a deal cus DH's aunt is a jewler, but if we had paid retail it would ahve been $2950.

Maybe try going to the diamond district. Popular stores tend to charge a LOT more than the quality is worth.

especially high end department stores - i noticed that unless you are getting it on sale and with coupons its really overpriced

im going tomorrow - so i'll know then - for mine, what i wanted was platinum with 7 round diamonds (half eternity with bars instead of shared prongs) - i think the diamond were around a 0.25 each making the total carat weight of the band around 1.75 but i might have to get something a little smaller to save $$ - FH's will probably be less than 1K - maybe even under $500 depending on what he goes with

I am not trying to talk you out of it but if you want half 7 may be too many especially at that size. I am sure you have tiny fingers. I tried on similar and 4-5 stones were bringing it almost all the way around -- just an FYI!

i tried it on already in 7 stones and it was perfect - i wanted it to look like an eternity band - so that the first and last diamond are on the sides of my fingers almost underneath - its made that way on purpose to look like a full eternity band - its actually a ltitle more than halfway around - i should have clarified that

ok good! I only mentioned it cause i had one picture in my head and when i tried it on it wasn't what i thought (didn't do my research)!

I ended up with eternity which is what i wanted anyway so why i even insisted on trying on others is beyond

Our wedding bands cost about $1200 total - fh has a white gold band that is hammered in the middle - sounds weird but is really nice and my wedding band is also white gold with a row of small diamonds - the price will depend on where you purchase and what you purchase.

and you can get a better quality diamond for that same price at an unknown place or in the diamond district. I'd rather have quality over a designer name....

I would say that any good, quality band is going to run you over 5k. The band I am using starts at 6600.

still haven't gotten my band...

mine was $2200. it's a custom made platinum diamond eternity band. Have not bought FH's yet, but his will not be as much $, as he'll prob lose it.

I budgeted way too little but oh well. It won't be the first time i went over budget. FH won't care if his costs $50!!
